In Rust We Trust Exhibition

In Rust We Trust is an art exhibition by three Portsmouth based artists with very different approaches and styles but sharing a love for urban decay and rust.

After a successful three man show in Arts Anonymous gallery in Devon we're coming home to Southsea with what promises to be an epic showcase of new work.

The Gold Room at Room 237, Elm Grove, Southsea.
Thursday 13th - Sunday 23rd September 2012
Preview night Thursday 13th September 7pm til 11pm

Los Dave's intricate and loose and fluid calligraphic inspired landscapes.
M-one Art's innovative use of stencil, delicate birds and love of all things in four wheels.
Mydog Sighs's melancholic characters, deep penetrating eyes and of course the now viral cans.

Recycled rusty wire birds, cans, canvas, found materials, oil drums and a few surprises (we are all  after all, pioneers in the Free Art Movement).

Sponsored by Something Interesting (who gave us catering!)
Supported by Angelo Tirotto at Room 237 (who gave us space!)
And promoted by Strong Island (the people who make things happen - and make it cool too).

Live music from Rusty Sheriff (who else with a show title like that?).

Mydog Sighs presents a new edition of cans only available to people attending the show (collectors/dealers have already confirmed they are coming from as far as bristol, blackpool, london and paris with the sole purpose of getting a can - expect a queue).

DIY can man stckers - create your own canman with affordable vinyl stickers printed with mds canman designs.

And *FreeArt from each of the artists raffled off during the course of the preview.

The show moves from 237 onto Cultivate gallery in prestigious Vyner Street in East London at the beginning of October.
